A woman, who has been accused of involvement in the abduction of cardamom trader Sunil Kumar Bindal of Birtamode in the district, was arrested after six months on Sunday. Suru Tamang, 23, also known as Bunu, a resident of Dharampur-4 was arrested by a special team of police from Itahari, according to District Police Office, Jhapa. The woman was part of the six-member gang including Bindal’s friend Bajrang Pansasi that had abducted the businessman on February 1. Bindal was successfully rescued from Dharampur of Jhapa, five days after the abduction, according to police spokesperson Biswamani Pokharel. Five others involved in the abduction have already been arrested.
