A Health worker at District Health Post Naubasta in Banke is on the run after raping a 12-year-old minor girl. According DSP Tika Bahadur KC the health worker identified as 45-year-old Ram Bahadur Shahi raped the minor at around 11:00 pm at night on August 5 when the minor's parents were not at home. Shahi an acquaintance with the girl's parents knew that her parents had gone to India. A rape case was filed on the behalf of the minor on August 6 in the police. Police launched a search out for the accused Shahi after registering the rape case. The accused is known to be close to CPN-UML and efforts were reportedly being made to suppress the incident.
