Cadres of madhesi morcha have clashed with the police in Jitpur of Bara on Wednesday. The clash ensued after police tried to stop the morcha cadres from forcing shutdown in local market. According to inspector Purushottam Khadka, the morcha cadres pelted stones at police, police fired severel rounds of tear gas and resorted to laathi charge to disperse the protesters. 6 persons from both sides were injured during the clash. Ramesh Sharraf, a morcha cadre accused the police of using excessive force to disrupt their peaceful demonstration.
