Tharut Announces Indefinite Bandh

Tharuat has announced that it would impose Tharuhat/Tharuwan region bandh for indefinite period from November 20 stating that the government did not heed its demands. Tharuhat/Tharuwan Provincial Joint Struggle Committee declared in a press meet organized at Lamahi on November 19 that the agitation would be more strict in the area from Chitwan to Kanchanpur. Coordinator of the Committee Horilal Chaudhary said that the agitation included protests like holding strike, torch rally, mass met, protest rally and torching new constitution. A statement issued by the committee said that emergency services like ambulance, press, drinking water and milk carrying vehicles, vehicles of diplomatic agencies and schools would be allowed to operate in the strike. The committee was formed after Forum Loktantrik which participated in the agitation before joined the incumbent government.
