A clash between Police and protesters occurred in Lahan, Siraha on Monday. Around 6 protesters including Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha (SLMM) co-ordinator Krishna Bahadur Yadav has been injured during the clash. The injured protesters are receiving treatment at various hospitals in Lahan. The Police had to fire five rounds of bullets in the air to take the situation under control. The protesters have been demonstrating and burning tyres in various places . The shops have also been shut by the protesters. Morcha co-ordinator Kishori Yadav told that Police had lathicharged the demonstrators at 10-11 pm on Sunday. The local administration has enforced the 'prohibited zone' order in the 500 metres area in the north and south from Balan river in the east and Kamala river in the west highway area from 7 pm to 9 am.
