Police have arrested eight people for black marketing petroleum products from different parts of the capital city on Wednesday. Police also confiscated 4,755 litres fuel from their possession. Police said 28-year-old Prakash Panta and 30-year-old Tej Bahadur Dahal of Bahundangi-6 of Jhapa were arrested from KMC-14, Khasibazaar with 300 litres petrol.
Likewise, 25-year-old Manoj Shah of Dhulbari, Jhapa was nabbed with 165 litres petrol and 110 litres diesel from the same locality. Similarly, 20-year-old Prajwol Shakya hailing from KMC-13 was held from KMC-13 with 100 litres petrol. Police further said they arrested 39-year-old Prakash Sapkota of Jhapa with 850 litres petrol and 1,600 litres diesel from KMC-14, Kalanki. Similarly, 52-year-old Baldev Poddar of Morang and 34-yer-old Sunir Poddar of Morang was detained with 1,330 litres petrol and 300-litre diesel.
