Usha Devi-30 alias Munia of Auriya6, has been murdered after rape by unidentified person on August 26 evening.

Police said that initial investigation showed that she was killed after rape. The body of the deceased was found in an isolated area, south of the village on August 27. Police added that she was killed after rape while returning home after buying books to her children from the district headquarters.

DSP Chakra Bahadur said that the investigation was underway. No one has been arrested yet in connection with the incident.

Police has recovered bangles, slippers and jewelries of the victim from the incident site. The victim's husband is working as a constable in the District Police Office, Sindhuli.
