The National Human Rights Commission has drawn the attention of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli regarding the non-implementation of its recommendations. A team of NHRC led by its Chairperson Anup Sharma met PM Oli and expressed concern over increasing impunity in the country. The rights watchdog drew PM's attention over the use of force by government in the Tarai-Madhes agitaion and loss of lives while informing him about the violation of right to life of people. It callled on the government to immediately find resolution of the issue through dialogue. PM Oli said that the issu ein tarai Madhes would be resolved through political channel. He said that the recent acts of threatening to unorganized citizens, killing should be stopped. He added that the government would not cause hinder in fair investigation of the incidents. PM Oli said that the right to housing of the earthquake victims, right to truth and justice for victims and rights of women are of primary issue for the government. Vivek Dhungana
