Police 25-year-old Prakash Malla of Bageshwori VDC-8 on February 16 on the charges of having unnatural sex with a 14-year-old boy. The mother of the boy said that Malla lured the boy with the promise of a job and sexually abused him. She said that her son who returned home in mid-January did not talk with anybody and she sought help from hospitals and shamans. She added that police refused to file her complaint saying that the incident took place in India. The boy underwent treatment at Bheri Zonal Hospital with help from CWIN Nepal on February 18. District Police Office said that investigation was ongoing into the incident. However, they have not registered the incident. The family of the victim said that five people were involved in the incident and that they were all in India.
