NOC tanker driver held for illegally trading fuel in Kathmandu

Police arrested a man on Sunday while trying to illegally trade petroleum products from Durbarmarg. The 25-year-old Surendra Mandal, driver of a Nepal Oil Corporation tanker (Na 2 Kha 4225) that was unloading diesel at the premises of Hotel De L’Annapurna, police informed. Out of the 12,000 litres, 3,000 litres were still inside the tanker when the police impounded the fuel. The tanker was said to have been brought from Biratnagar. Meanwhile, the 9,000 litres of diesel have been handed over to the hotel in order to save it from being misused. They also said further investigation into the case is underway.
