42-year-old Jangmu Lama of Bhijer vdc-9 in Dolpa district lodged a complaint against her husband Namgyal Kyaljen Lama at District Police Office Dolpa on April 3 on the charges of physically assaulting her and threatening to kill her. Jangmu stated to the police that she was compelled to walk four days from her village Ku to District Police Office at the district headquarter Dunai after facing continuous abuse and torture at the hands of her husband. Showing injury marks sustained all over the body due to beatings Jangmu said that she was compelled to lodge the complaint for the fear of her security. DSP Dhruva Raut of DPO said that the investigation was delayed due to Bhijer VDC's relative distance from the district headquarter.
