Police have arrested 37-year-old Upendra Das Tatma of Kanchanpur municipality after finding him in compromising position with a 13-year-old girl. Tatma, who is accused of sexually abusing the girl since the past two years had been cleverly evading the police. On Tuesday at around 2:00 pm police arrested Tatma from a house in Bakadhuwa VDC-7. He was caught red-handed by Kanchanpur police on the basis of a special tip-off. Although the girl's family lodged a complaint against Tatma to the police in the past police had refused to register it, citing lack of evidence.

The girl has been handed over to her family. Tatma had successfully made another youth escape goat of his heinous act in the past. The youth named Satana currently remains in Rajbiraj prison on the charge of sexually abusing the girl. The girl and her mother have however said that he is innocent. The girl's mother said over the press conference that although she went to the police many times in the past to lodge a complaint against sexual abuse of her daughter police had refused to register a complaint.
