Court orders five and half years sentence on charge of rape in Dang

District Court of Dang ordered jail sentence of five and half years to 19-year-old Govinda Subedi of Sishaniya VDC-7 , Latthahawa on May 26 on the charges of raping a 17-years-old girl. A single bench of District Court judge Churaman Khadka gave the verdict regarding the case.
The victim lodged a complaint accusing Govinda and his counterparts of gang-raping her on March 19, 2016, at Sundawari of lamahi Municipality-3. The District Court has sentenced Govinda however other accused got a clean cheat from the court.
