Cadres of the Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN Maoist on Tuesday smeared black soot on the face of an engineer of the Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City accusing him of being involved in corruption. Engineer Dhigraj Bhatta was accused of demanding commission up to 15 percent with the contractors and chairpersons of various consumers’ forums. Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN Maoist student leader Birendra BK said that Bhatta was given many chances in the past to change his behavior but he did not change himself. He did not comply with our frequent requests, Bk added. Meanwhile, issuing a statement, various organizations condemned the act and warned that they would close all the government offices in Kailali until the perpetrators were arrested. Police said they are looking for the persons involved in the act.
