Police have arrested Rajesh Shahi,36 of Pokhara Sub-Metropolis-1 along with his second wife Maya Shahi,30 on June 7 on charge of polygamy. They were both arrested based on a complaint lodged by Pramila Shahi,31, a first wife of the accused. The victim had lodged a complaint on June 7 at District Police Office accusing her husband of marrying a second wife on March 15. Rajesh married Pramila in 2001 April as per social tradition. Pramila has been living in her paternal house after she was expelled by her husband in 2008.
