Anil Kandel, 22 of Tara VDC-3 was arrested by the police on June 6 on the charges of raping a 12-years-old girl. The victim’s mother lodged a verbal complaint at Area Police Office, Tarakhola on June 6 accusing him of raping her daughter on May 29. The accused was arrested for the investigation. Speaking with the INSEC district representative, the victim’s mother said that she was scared to make an incident public due to the pressure from villagers and neighbors however she reached a conclusion of lodging a complaint. She had made a written complaint at District Police of Baglung on June 7. The victim underwent a health check-up at Dhaulagiri Zonal Hospital.
