Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj remained tense throughout Monday afternoon due to a demonstration by the relatives of a woman and her child who died during treatment at the hospital. Relatives of the deceased woman and her child protested at the hospital, blaming the doctor's negligence behind the death of the two. 30-year-old Meena Pathak of Nuwakot was brought to the hospital on May 26 for delivery. On May 27 during delivery doctors pronounced her baby dead. Only an hour before the proceeding to the delivery room doctors had reported Meena's and her unborn child's health to be normal. Meena who was reported to have suffered heavy blood loss during the delivery passed away on Monday.
