Police arrested a man on the charge of throwing acid to his wife in Saptari. The suspect has been identified as 40year-old Amal Ram of Belhi Chapena VDC-7 of Saptari. Police said that Amal threw acid on the face of his wife Betani Devi Ram on Monday. Betani was seriously injured in the incident, police said. The victim is receiving treatment at the Biratnagar-based Neuro Hospital, the District Police Office, Saptari informed. Police said that they are trying to find out the motive behind the attack.
