The District Court of Surkhet has given a life-sentence along with confiscation of property of 32-year-old Purna Bahadur Thadamagar of Kalyan VDC-7, 32-year-old Khadga Bahadur Gahamagar of Neta VDC-7 and 38-year-old Yam Bahadur Raskotimagar on the charges of raping and murdering 10-year-old Manisha Rana of Neta VDC-7. These accused committed gang rape on a girl on November 16, 2015, before murdering her. The victim’s family lodged a complaint at DPO on the same day. A single bench of District Court Judge Kailash Prasad Subedi gave the verdict on the case.
