Police have arrested 25-years-old Bijaya Karki on the charge of murdering his wife Deepa Karki,23 of Suryabinayak Municipality-4, Katunje by attacking her with a hammer on July 13 over a domestic dispute. The absconding accused was arrested by the police from the airport area on the same day of the incident according to SP Kiran Bajracharya of metropolitan police circle. Police were able to arrest him by tracking his mobile and evidence of bloodstain in his cloth. DSP Mitra Bandhu Sharma of the metropolitan police circle said that the victim died in the spot after sustaining serious injuries on her head. She was murdered while she was alone in the house according to Sharma. The body of the victim was sent to TUTH for post-mortem.
