Police have rescued a 13-year-old girl who has been continuously raped for the past three months in Makwanpur district. An accused Ashok Tamang, 30, of Namtar-6 who held the girl captive in Kitbhanjyang village is at large, police said on Friday. According to police said Tamang had lured the victim and took her to Namtar-6 from Bhaktapur in mid-April. The incident came to light when the girl somehow managed to make a phone call to her parents in Bhaktapur on Thursday. Superintendent of Police Bamdev Gautam said he had also been involved in such criminal activities in the past. (PR)
