Area Police Office Kohalpur has detained Ramdevi Sarki of Chisapani-1 on the charges of killing her 22-year-old daughter-in-law Sita Karki Police arrested Ramdevi on the basis of a complaint filed by the victim's parents, accusing Ramdevi of murdering her daughter-in-law by strangling her. Sita was found dead hanging in a cowshed on the morning of July 22. The victim's parent argued that her body was transferred to the cowshed after murdering her first. DSP Suresh Prashad Kafle said that further details into the case would be clear once the postmortem report is out. Meanwhile, police have started an investigation into the incident by registering a case against the accused. The victim's husband is in Malaysia as a migrant worker.
