[Updated] Police has arrested 37-year-old Kali Bahadur Rokaya of Suhun-2 VDC in Dolpa on Wednesday on the charge of raping a woman. Police arrested Rokaya on the basis of a complaint filed by a 40-year-old woman on Tuesday accusing him of raping her on July 28. Romharsha Silwal of Tripurakot Police Post informed that the arrested was being held into custody for further investigation. Although preparations were under way, the victim could not undergo medical treatment as of Aug 3 evening. ४० वर्षीया महिलालाई बलात्कार गरेको आरोपमा सुउँ गाविस-२ का ३७ वर्षीय कालीबहादुर रोकायलाई प्रहरीले साउन १९ गते गिरफ्तार गरेको छ । पीडित महिलालाई साउन १३ गते बलात्कार गरेको भन्दै साउन १८ गते पीडितले प्रहरी चौकी त्रिपुराकोटमा उजुरी दिएकी थिइन् । उजुरीका आधारमा आरोपितलाई अनुसन्धानका लागि गिरफ्तार गरिएको प्रहरी चौकी त्रिपुराकोटका इञ्चार्ज रोमहर्षसिजवालले बताए । पीडित महिलाको स्वास्थ्य परीक्षण गर्ने प्रक्रिया शुरु भएको भए पनि १९ गते साँझसम्म स्वास्थ्य परीक्षण नभएको पीडितले बताइन् । Update.... Accused Rapist Freed After Exerting Political Pressure Police said that an accused rapist Kali Bahadur Rokaya, 37 of Suun VDC-2 has been freed after exerting a tremendous pressure by political parties. Rokaya was arrested and taken into custody on charge of raping a 40-years-old woman however he was freed after a pressure exerted by the cadres of Nepali Congress and UML. The victim had lodged a complaint of rape on August 5 however she changed her statement and lodged a complaint of misbehaviour according to police in charge Rom Harsha Sijwal of Tripurakot. Sijawal said that the woman changed her statement due to the pressure from political parties. Police have arrested the accused on August 3 for the investigation. Nepali Congress village unit secretary Netra Buda said that the case was reached into agreement in order to normalise the dispute which was turning into violent. At least two youth were injured in a dispute over the incident on the night of August 3. राजनीतिक दलका कार्यकर्ताको दबाबमा बलात्कार घटनाका आरोपित छुटाइयो ४० वर्षीया महिलालाई बलात्कार गरेको घटनाको आरोपमा प्रहरी हिरासतमा रहेका सुउँ गाविस-२ का ३७ वर्षीय कालीबहादुर रोकायलाई नेपाली काङ्ग्रेस र एमाले पार्टीको स्थानीय कार्यकर्ताको दबाबमा साउन २१ गते प्रहरी हिरासतबाटै छाड्नु परेको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ । पहिला बलात्कार गरेको उजुरी परेपनि साउन २१ गते पीडितले आफूलाई अभद्र व्यवहार गरेको र गाली बेइज्जती गरेको भन्ने व्यहोराको निवेदन दिएपछि आरोपितलाई छाडिएको प्रहरी चौकी त्रिपुराकोटका इञ्चार्ज रोमहर्ष सिजवालले बताए । सिजवालका अनुसार राजनीतिक दलको दबाबमा पीडितले बलात्कार गरेको भनी पहिला दिएको निवेदन फिर्ता लिएर मिलापत्र गरेपछि आरोपित रोकाय साउन २१ गते प्रहरी चौकीबाट रिहा भएका हुन् । पीडित महिलालाई साउन १३ गते कालिबहादुर रोकायले बलात्कार गरेको भन्दै पीडितले साउन १८ गते प्रहरी चौकी त्रिपुराकोटमा उजुरी दिएकी थिइन् । आरोपितलाई साउन १९ गते गिरफ्तार गरी प्रहरीले अनुसन्धान थालेको जनाएको थियो । नेपाली काङ्ग्रेसका गाँउ इकाई सचिव नेत्र बुढाले भने- 'दुबै पक्षबीच घटनाका विषयमा झडप भयो । घटनाले ठूलो रूप नलियोस् र सामाजिक सदभाव कायम होस् भनेर मिलापत्र गराएका हौं ।' घटनाको विषयमा पीडित पक्ष र आरोपित पक्षबीच साउन १९ गते राति झडप हुँदा दुबै पक्षका दुई जना युवा घाइते भएका थिए ।
