Cadres of various political parties from Lumfabung VDC in Panchthar padlocked Additional Post Office at the VDC after a dispute over appointment of new staffers in the vacant posts today. Village level cadres of ruling CPN-Maoist Centre, Nepali Congress and CPN-UML Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal, Federal Limbuwan Party Nepal and Limbhuwan Party (Forum) padlocked the post office. After two staffers- Suman Baral and Jagannath Baral at the office put in their papers, two post have been vacant at the office. Party cadres have been demanding appointment of Pabitra Lawati and Narendra Angdembe in the vacant post. Meanwhile, after district Post Office, Panchthar wrote a letter to the Additional Post office and VDC office to coordinate with the political parites and appoint new staff. Earlier, Lumfabang VDC office had recommended Krishna Baral and Bednidhi Mishra for the vacant post. However, Additional Post Office, had suggested the names of Krishna Baral and Lokendra Niraula to the district. With the recommendation of different named from political parties, Additional Post Office and VDC office, the appointment process has been delayed. Chief at District Police Office, Devi Prasadh Adhikary said the appointment process would not move ahead immediately.
