Police in Dang on Tuesday reportedly arrested a man in possession of explosive materials. The arrested has been identified as 33-year-old Om Prakash Pun of Chhilikot in Bijauri-9. Acting on a tip-off, a team of police deployed from the Dang District Police Office raided the house of Om Prakash Pun in Bijauri-9 in the district and seized 40 sets of detonators. Pun is in custody for further action, Superintendent of Police (SP) Dhiraj Pratap Singh informed. Likewise, police on Tuesday arrested a man for allegedly raping a girl and directing death threat at her. Police identified the alleged rapist as 33-year-old Dhan Bahadur Pun of Chhilikot, in Bijauri-9. According to police Dhan Bahadur directed threat at a girl before he raped her at gunpoint and fled the scene, on 22 June, this year. Police nabbed him from Lamahi, said SP Singh. Further, police raided the house of local 22-year-old Kamal Oli and seized a Katuwa pistol and one round bullet during the investigation. It has been learned that Pun had hidden the weapon at Oli’s house. Meanwhile, police arrested Oli and his other fellow who is yet to be identified and undertaken into an investigation .
