2016-08-31

Madhes, Dhanusha, Janakpur

Janakpur zonal hospital remained tense following the death of a pregnant woman who died in the course of treatment on Wednesday. The relatives blamed negligence on the part of doctors involved in the treatment, leading to death. 26-year old Chandrakala Paswan, from Bharatpur-4 Mahottari, was admitted to Janakpur hospital for delivery on Monday. However, doctors said that the deceased was not able to give birth to a child and they agreed to the surgery process. During the surgery, her health was deteriorating due to the excessive flow of blood and they called a senior doctor for the surgery. After three hours of a successful surgery, she was fine. The doctor cited lack of blood as the cause for the death of Paswan. The deceased's family has demanded action against the doctors involved in the treatment and compensation for the cause.
