Relatives have started demonstration in Khotang District Hospital after death of 43-year-old Tal Kumari Rai, a resident of Dhitung-7. Rai, a mother of seven, had had an abortion through surgery on September 1, on the doctor's recommendation. However, she died in the hospital on Sunday (September 4). Family of the patient have accused Dr. Santosh Sah, gynecologist at the hospital, of forcefully making her get the surgery. After the death of the patient, her relatives have started protests demanding action to be taken against the guilty, in addition to proper compensation and employment for the dependent family members. The situation at the hospital has become tense following the protests. CDO Chandra Bahadur Karki has called the concerned party to District Administration Office for discussion. गर्भपतन गराएकी महिलाको मृत्यु भएपछि मृतकका आफन्तले तीन बुँदे माग राखेर आन्दोलन थालेका छन्। शल्यक्रियामार्फत गर्भपतन गराएकी धितुङ-७ कि ४३ बर्षीय टल कुमारी राईको आइतबार मृत्यु भएपछि मृतकका आफन्तले दोषीलाई कारबाही, मृतक परिवारलाई उचित क्षतिपूर्ति र आश्रित परिवारलाई रोजगारीको माग राखेर आन्दोलन थालेका हुन्। मृतकका आफन्तले आन्दोलन थालेपछि जिल्ला अस्पताल खोटाङ तनाबग्रस्त बनेको छ। सोही विषयलाई लिएर प्रमुख जिल्ला अधिकारी चन्द्रबहादुर कार्कीले सम्बन्धित पक्षलाई छलफलका लागि अहिले जिल्ला प्रशासन कार्यालयमा बोलाउनु भएको छ। सात सन्तानकी आमा टल कुमारीले चिकित्सककै सल्लाहमा भाद्र-१६ गते जिल्ला अस्पताल खोटाङ आएर तीन महिनाको गर्भपतन गराएकी थिईन। अस्पतालका चिकित्सक सन्तोष साहले जबरजस्ती शल्यक्रिया गरेर गर्भपतन गरिदिएकाले टल कुमारीको मृत्यु भएको उनका आफन्तको आरोप छ।
