Tractor drivers obstructed the road at Karbola chowk, Deukhana VDC for 6 hours. Contractor Umesh Sha Teli, who has the contract of Bhaluwahi River charged Rs 600 from tractors carrying sands and Rs 700 from tractors that carried stones. District Development Committee of Parsa had provided the contract of the river to Umesh Sha in Rs 1 crore and 13 lakhs. As per the contract, the contractor can only take Rs 452 for sands as well as stones but he was found charging more. The tractor drivers blocked the road protesting the excess charge. Later both the contractor and drivers party reached a consensus on charging the rate fixed by the DDC.
