Lok Raj Pandey, 32 of Attariya Municipality-13, Padam Ojha of the same municipality-4, and Bal Krishna Ojha of ward no. 3 have complained that they were beaten by the police while protesting against handing over of forest. The victims complained that they were beaten on the charges of protesting against District Forest Of Kailali for handing over a community forest to the Muslim Community at Attariya Municipality-13. One of the victims Lok Raj Pandey complained that they were intimidated by the police on October 3 while they were handing over a memorandum to the District Forest Office of Kailali at Dhangadhi sub-metropolis-5. SP Rajendra Bista of DPO Kailali however claimed that about three protesters were controlled by the police for some hours as they were disrupting normal transportation during their protest. They were released later according to Bista. Police claimed that the protesters were injured during the stampede however none of the protesters were beaten by the police.
