The police have arrested a husband in connection with the death of his wife at Melauli area of the district. Bijaya Nayak of Dwarika chowk of Melauli – 1 was arrested in accusation of murdering his wife, Kamala Nayak, who was found hanging on Friday inside her shop. Kamala's family members filed a complaint with the police that her death should not be treated as a suicide. They also accused Bijaya of thrashing his wife to death after which the police made the arrest, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Balanarsingh Rana, of the District Police Office, Baitadi. The wife's body has already been cremated following a postmortem examination. The police have launched an investigation into the incident to determine whether it is a murder case or a suicide. मेलौलीमा श्रीमतीको हत्या आरोपमा मेलौली–१ द्वारिकाचोकका विजय नायक पक्राउ परेका छन् । विजयकी श्रीमती कमला शुक्रबार आफ्नै पसलको धुरीमा डोरीमा झुन्डिएको अवस्थामा फेला परेकी थिइन् । कमलाको माइती पक्षले आत्महत्या नभई श्रीमानले कुटपिट गरी हत्या गरेको भनेर उजुरी दिएपछि प्रहरीले विजयलाई पक्राउ गरेको जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय बैतडीका प्रहरी नायब उपरीक्षक बालनरसिंह राणाले राससलाई जानकारी दिनुभयो । कमलाको शवपरीक्षणपछि दाहसंस्कार गरिसकिएको बताइएको छ । कमलाले आत्महत्या गरेको हो वा श्रीमान्ले हत्या गरेको हो भन्नेबारे अनुसन्धान जारी रहेको जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय बैतडीले जनाएको छ ।
