Locals of Bhurigau in Bardiya have started an agitation expressing dissatisfaction at the local body restructuring process. Citing that Bhurigau which falls under the Babai municipality in the old administrative system, now was not included in any municipality the locals took to protest. The protestors halted transportation for one and half hours from 11am in the morning. Vice-president of FNCCI Gulariya Jiban Shahi warned that they would further intensify their agitation if their demands were not met. स्थानीय तहको पुनर्संरचनाप्रति असन्तुष्टि जनाउँदै बर्दियाको भुरीगाउँका स्थानीयवासीले आन्दोलन थालेका छन् । पहिले बबई नगरपालिकामा रहेको भुरीगाउँ नयाँ संरचनामा कुनै नगरपालिकामा नपरेको भन्दै स्थानीय विरोधमा उत्रिएका हुन् । उनीहरुले बिहान ११ बजेदेखि डेढ घण्टा चक्काजाम गरे । उद्योग वाणिज्य संघ गुलरियका उपाध्यक्ष जीवन शाहीले माग पूरा नभए सशक्त आन्दोलन गर्ने चेतावनी थिए । भुरीगाउँ नगरपालिकामा राख्न मापदण्ड नपुगेको भन्दै जिल्ला प्राविधिक समितिले वैकल्पिक रुपमा राखेर स्थानीय तह पुनर्संरचना आयोगमा प्रतिवेदन बुझाएको थियो । बर्दियाका प्रहरी उपरीक्षक भरतबहादुर साहले भने चक्काजामको खासै असर नपरेको दाबी गरे ।
