A clash occurred between villagers of Basdilwa and police last night in Parsa. A 5 member team of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force which went to the village after being informed that some villagers were engaged in gambling, were humiliated by the villagers. The villagers who claimed that they had the right to gamble during the festivals were angered after police arrested one of the gamblers. The security forces were compelled to return empty handed after the angry villagers resorted to attack upon them. Spokesperson for Parsa District Police Chakraraj Joshi said that the situation had now come to normalcy. गएराति पर्साको बस्डिल्वा गाउँमा प्रहरी र गाउँलेबीच झडप भएको छ । जुवाडेहरूलाई समात्न गएको नेपाल प्रहरी र सशस्त्र प्रहरीको टोली अपमानित भएर फर्किनुपरेको थियो । राति गाउँमा जुवा खेलिरहेको सूचना पाएर प्रहरी टोली गाउँ पुगेको थियो । एकजना जुवाडेलाई नगदसहित प्रहरीले समातेपछि सम्पूर्ण गाउँले दीपावलीमा जुवा खेल्न कसैले रोक्न नमिल्ने भनी प्रहरीमाथि जाई लागेका थिए । अस्थायी प्रहरी पोस्ट बढनिहारका प्रसनि चक्रबहादुर घले र हवलदार र सशस्त्र बेस क्याम्प बेल्वाका ५ जना सुरक्षाकर्मी जुवाडेलाई समात्न गएका थिए । जुवाडेलाई प्रहरीले समातेर लग्न खोज्दा गाउलेहरू आक्रोशित भई प्रहरीलाई घेरेर हातपात गरेका थिए । यस विषयमा पर्सा प्रहरीका प्रवक्ता चक्रराज जोशीले घटना साम्य भइसकेको बताएका छन् ।
