Nepal Tarun Dal and Nepal Students’ Union, the sister organisations of the ruling Nepali Congress, enforced a banda in Nawalparasi district on Sunday, demanding not to merge the eastern part of the district to Province 5. The protesters said they were against Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s proposal of merging the area from Daunne to Gaidakot to Province 5 from 4. Normal life was greatly affected due to the banda.
