Following the commencement of 16 days activism against gender-based violence, reports of domestic violence have been out. Mr Kumar Giri, a 22-year-old resident of Chapahile V.D.C- 4 has beaten his wife, 20 years old Sara Gyawali. Giri attacked his wife on her head with a stone as a result of which she has been severely injured and is currently undergoing treatment at Ishma Rajasthal health post. On the basis of the report filed by Sara's relatives at Ishma Police Station, police have arrested her husband. Due to her husband's violent act, she has been residing in her maternal home since last 4 months. According to Sara, the incident broke out when she refused to leave her maternal house and return back to home with her husband.
