District court orders penalty on caste discrimination case

Sushma Khanal who forced Lok Dohori singer Ayush Pariyar to leave her house believing he belonged to an untouchable group, has been proven guilty by the District Court on Friday. The District Court has imposed a fine of Rs 7,000 on the perpetrator.
The landlord, Sushma Khanal had forced Ayush Pariyar to leave her house after knowing that he was a Dalit. On July 27, the case was registered against her and she was taken into custody.
