Life in Gulmi district continues to be crippled for the past seven consecutive days due to
the indefinite banda called by local people to protest the proposal to take some hilly districts off Province 5.
Transportation halted while educational institutions, industries, the market remained
closed.
Local people in their hundreds spilled into the streets and chanted slogans against the
proposal to split Province 5.
Service seekers visiting government offices for services have been affected as the
protesters staged a sit-in in front of the offices.
The joint protest struggle committee coordinator Bhuvan Prasad Shrestha said the stir
would continue until the proposal is withdrawn.

आन्दोलनकर्ताहरुले दिनहुँ जस्तै मंगलबार पनि जिल्ला प्रशासन र जिल्ला विकास समितिको कार्यालय अगाडि धर्ना दिने कामलाई निरन्तरता दिएका छन् ।
त्यस्तै गाडीहरु सञ्चालन हुन सकेका छैनन् । विरोध प्रदर्शनका क्रममा मंगलबार दिउँसो सदरमुकाम तम्घासमा जुलुस प्रर्दशन गरिने कार्यक्रम रहेको संयुक्त आन्दोलन संघर्ष समितिका संयोजक भुवन प्रसाद श्रेष्ठले बताउनुभयो । सरकारले प्रदेश टुक्राउने गरी संसद सचिवालयमा दर्ता गरेको संशोधन प्रस्ताव फिर्ता नगर्दासम्म आन्दोलन जारी रहने श्रेष्ठले बताउनुभयो ।
