Local authorities on Tuesday arrested a youth for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl here in Bardibas. The arrestee has been identified as Bishnu Rajbanshi (26) of Maheshpur VDC-1 in Jhapa district. According to the Bardibas Area Police Office (APO), Rajbanshi had allegedly raped the girl on November 19. The perpetrator had been absconding following the incident and was arrested yesterday, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shaligram Sharma of the APO, adding that Rajbanshi would be booked under a rape case.
