A couple in Sakla-1 VDC Jajarkot killed their mother. Buddhi Bahadur Khatri and wife Sarmila Khatri killed their 65-year-old mother Deumi Khatri with an axe over land dispute in the family. Buddhi Bahadur killed his mother on the night of August 6 and had filed a missing complaint at the police on August 7. After few days, the locals became suspicious and searched Khatri's house. Finding Deumi's cloths in Khatri's house made them more suspicious. Buddhi Bahadur confessed committing the crime after locals threatened him to take out information from him by using witchdoctor. The Khatri spouse had buried Demui's body in the nearby kitchen garden. Jajarkot district court sentenced them to life imprisonment on November 28.
