36-year-old Saraswati Adhikari of Tal chok has been undergoing treatment at Western Regional Hospital after she was beaten brutally by her spouse and stepson on Friday accusing her of talking to another man on facebook. While she had been facing mental harassment since more than two months, on Friday, her husband Baburam Adhikari and stepson Suvash Adhikari hit her with a sharp weapon and physically assaulted her after which Saraswati shouted for help. She was still being beaten by the duo when the neighbors and police reached her house for rescue. Saraswati confessed of not reporting earlier about the harassment being inflicted upon her as she was concerned about the family's social prestige. She has sustained serious injuries in her body and her spinal chord has been affected badly. Police has arrested the perpetrators Baburam and Suvash Adhikari. However, the duo have been threatening Saraswati from the jail. Human rights activists and Saraswati have demanded strict action against the perpetrators. लेखनाथ ताल्चोककी एक महिलामाथि पति र छोराले निर्घात कुटपिट गरेका छन। पती बाबुराम अधिकारी र सौतेला छोरा सुवास अधिकारीले कुटेर घाइते भएपछी ३६ बर्षिया सरस्वती अधिकारी पश्चिमाञ्चल छेत्रीय अस्पताल भर्ना भएकी छन। डेढ दुई महिनदेखी नै मनसिक यातना खेपेकी सरस्वती शुक्रबार राती कुटिएकी थिइन। खुडाले हान्दै सलले घाँटीमा बेरी लछारपछार गरेपछी सरस्वतीले हार-गुहार गरेकी थिइन। उनको गुहार सुनेर छिमेकी र प्रहरी पुग्दा पनि बाबुराम र सुवासले कोठा बन्द गरी कुटिरहेको प्रहरी अधिकारीले बताएका छन्।। 'म मरे भन्ठानेकी थिएँ', सरस्वतीले भनिन,'बेलैमा प्रहरी आईपुगेर बाचें। यसअघि कुटपिट भइरहे पनि परिवारको इज्जतका लागि बाहिर मुख नफोरेको उनले सुनाइन। कुटपिटबाट सरस्वतीको मेरुदण्डमा असर पुगेको छ। उनको शरीरमा थुप्रै घाउ लगेको स्वास्थ्यकर्मीले बताएका छन। शुक्रबार राती २ बजेतिर प्रहरीले आकास्मिक कक्षमा सरस्वतीलाई भर्ना गरेरै राख्नुपर्छ भन्ने यकिन छैन,ती नर्सले भानिन्। उनका पती बाबुराम र छोरा सुवासलाई प्रहरिले पक्रिसकेको छ। उनिहरुले हिरासतभित्रैबाट समेत फोनमार्फत धम्क्याउने गरेका छन। त्यसरी प्रहरी हिरासत भित्रैबाट समेत बाबुरामले धम्क्याएको भन्दै अधिकारकर्मीले पिडकलाई कडा कारबाही गर्न माग गरेका छन्। सरस्वतीले समेत आफुमाथि आक्रमण गर्नेलाई कारबाही गरी न्याय दिन माग गरेकी छिन्। उनले समाधानसँग भनिन्, 'मलाई यो हालतमा पुर्याउनेलाई कारबाही हुनुपर्छ, मलाई न्याय दिनैपर्छ।' उनले मेलमिलापको नाममा घटनाका दोषीलाई त्यसै नछाड्ने समेत बताएकी छिन्।
