A woman from Beldandi municipality-2 made a press conference in Mahendranagar for being sexually assaulted for three years by her father-in-law. According to her, she was first sexually assaulted by her father in law, Bhanu Bhakta Bhatta in first week of her marriage in her own room as her husband was away from district for education. She was threatened by her father-in- law not to disclose the incident. She said, "Because of the fear of being shameful, I disclosed the incident to nobody". Though it was arrange marriage she complained of not having the marriage registered. According to her, her father-in-law was after her before being married. She met her husband only on 14 June 2014. She shared that she is being hated by her husband and verbally assaulted by her other family members after knowing the incident. She went to police for justice being sexually assaulted time and again. The incident was revealed only on 25 November 2016 when she filed a case as her father-in-law assaulted her again. Now the case has been reported in District Police Office Kanchanpur. The victim has filed a case against her father-in-law on charge of rape in District Police Office Kanchanpur . According to DSP Nain Singh Karki- Spokesperson to Kanchanpur District Police Office, "Though the FIR was made on 15 December 2016, the case was registered on 16 December. The accused has been police custody for 20 days ". He added, "The investigation is being carried out". He further added that the necessary steps are being taken for taking the case to government attorney's office. The accused Bhatta is Area Secretary of Nepali Congress Area No 1 and Vice Chairperson of Mahakali Irrigation Central Water Consumers' Group. बेल्डाँडी नगरपालिका २ चन्दन वस्तीकी एक महिलाले आफ््नै ससुराबाट यौनशोषण गरेको भन्दै बुधबार महेन्दनगरमा पत्रकार सम्मेलन गरेकी छिन् । पत्रकार सम्मेलनमा उनले विगत तीन वर्षदेखि ससुरा भानुभक्त भट्टले यौनशोषण गर्दै आएको बताइन् । बिवाह गरेको पहिले हप्तामै पहिलो पटक ससुराले आफ््नो कोठामा आएर जबरजस्ती यौन शोषण गरेको उनले बताइन्। श्रीमान बिवाह भएपछि पढ््न जिल्ला बाहिर गएपछि ससुराले धम्क्याउदै जबरजस्ती गरेको तर घर बिग्रन्छ भनेर कसैलाई नि नभनेको दुखेसो व्यक्त गर्दै उनले भनिन्, “बदनाम हुने डरले कसैसँग भनिन्।” आफ््नो मागी बिवाह भएपनि घरपरिवारले बिवाह दर्ता समेत नगरिदिएको उनको गुनासो छ । बिवाह हुनु पूर्वदेखि नै भट्टले आफ््नो पिछा गरेको बताइन् । “श्रीमान् त २०७१ असार ६ गते बिवाह भएपछि मात्र देखेकी हुँ उनले भनिन् ।” ससुराले आफुमाथि गरिरहेको यौनशोषण थाहा पाएपछि श्रीमान््ले समेत हेला गर्न थालेका र परिवारका अन्य सदस्यले गाली गलौच गर्ने गरेको उनले बताइन् । पटक पटक यौनशोषणमा परेपछि असह्य भएर न्याय माग्न प्रहरीमा पुगेको उनको भनाइ छ । उनले गत मंसिर १० गते ससुराले घटना पुन ः दोहोप्याएपछि गाउँकै स्थानीय प्रहरीमा उजुरी दिएपछि घटना बाहिर आएको हो । अहिले उनको मुद्दा जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यलयमा पुगेको छ । पीडित युवतीले जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय कञ्चनपुरमा जबरजस्तीकरणीमा मुद्दा दायर गरेकी छिन् । जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय कञ्चनपुरका प्रहरी प्रवक्ता डिएसपी नैनसिंह कार्कीले मंसिर २९ गते आएको उनको उजुरी पुष १ गते दर्ता गरिएको बताए । आरोपी भट्ट २० दिनदेखि प्रहरी हिरासतमा छन् । प्रवक्ता कार्कीका अनुसार घटनाको अनुसन्धान भइरहेको छ । “ प्रहरीले आरोपितलाई पक्राउ गरेर हिरासतमा राखेको छ ।” प्रहरी प्रवक्ता कार्कीले भने, “अनुसन्धान भइरहेको छ ।” एकदुई दिन भित्रै सरकारी वकिल कार्यालयमा पेश गर्ने तयारी भइरहेको समेत उनले बताए । आरोपित ससुरा भानुभक्त भट्ट नेपाली काँग्रेस क्षेत्र नम्बर १ का क्षेत्रिय सचिव र महाकाली सिँचाई केन्दिय जलउपभोक्ता समितिका उपाध्यक्ष समेत हुन्।
