Pushpa Basnet, a resident of Barahchhetra-4, Sunsari banished his wife Mamata Karki from home after second-marriage. The couple had been married for 8 years. Such an act of Basnet and his family is a violation of the order by the District Court of Sunsari to let Mamata stay in the house. The accused have locked the house and absconded. Mamata's attempt to enter the house was supported by the police, neighbors, and women human rights defenders. Mamata is left with a 1-year-old daughter.
