Agitated health workers in Lahan have conducted Protest Rally on Tuesday demanding the implementation of Civil Service Act as well as management of staffs. The Rally was conducted by Health Workers Trade Union who had also staged sit-in from 11 am in the morning in Lahan hospital. Addressing the corner meeting after the rally, Ram Sebak Roy, Siraha Chairperson of Nepal Health Workers Union said that the government has compelled health workers for agitation with the decision of management of health workers out of the health institution where they are working which is totally against the recommendations provided by the health workers. He also made it loud if government doesn’t correct the decision they would be halting all health services such as OPD, vaccination, Village Clinic, Monthly Staff meeting as well as training and workshop except emergency service 12 March onwards. The agitated health workers have demanded for staff management with TOR of high level with bridging staff recruitment as well as amending the Act in certain time frame and retaining permanent recruitment. Health Workers have scheduled for dharna in District Health Office Siraha from today. निजामति सेवा ऐन कार्यान्वयन तथा पद व्यवस्थापनको माँग राखी आन्दोलनमा रहेका सिरहाका स्वास्थ्यकर्मीले मंगलबार लहानमा विरोध जुलुस प्रदर्शन गरेका छन् । स्वास्थ्य क्षेत्रका ट्रेड युनियनको अगुवाइमा लहान अस्पतालमा विहान ११ बजे देखि धर्नामा बसेका स्वास्थ्यकर्मीहरुले लहान नगरपालिकामा विरोध जुलुस प्रदर्शन गरेका थिए । विरोध जुलुस पछि आयोजित कोण सभालाई सम्बोधन गर्दै नेपाल स्वास्थ्यकर्मी यूनियन, सिरहाका अध्यक्ष राम सेवक रायले स्वास्थ्यकर्मीको पद व्यवस्थापन सम्बन्धमा आफुहरुले दिएको सुझावको ठीक विपरीत सरकारले स्वास्थ्यकर्मीहरु कार्यरत रहेको स्वास्थ्य संस्था भन्दा बाहिर पद व्यवस्थापनको निर्णय गरेर स्वास्थ्यकर्मीहरुलाई अधिकारविहिन बनाउने कार्य गरेकोले आफुहरु बाध्यतावश आन्दोलित भएको बताए । उनले भने, सरकारले गरेको निर्णय नसच्याए फाल्गुण २९ पछि जिल्लाभरिका स्वास्थ्य संस्थामा अकस्मिक सेवा बाहेक ओ.पि.डी. सेवा, खोप, गाँउघर क्लिनिक, मासिक स्टाप बैठक, तालिम, गोष्ठी लगायतका कार्यक्रम बन्द गर्ने दाबी समेत गरेका छन् । आन्दोलित स्वास्थ्यकर्मीहरुले हाल कार्यरत रहेकै स्वास्थ्य संस्थामा पुल दरबन्दी सृजना गरी माथिल्लो तहको जिम्मेवारी तथा कार्यविवरण सहित पद व्यवस्थापन तथा निश्चित समय अवधि भित्र ऐन संशोधन गरी स्थायी दरबन्दीमा फर्काउने समेत सरकारसँग माँग गरेका छन् । आज देखि जिल्ला स्वास्थ्य कार्यालय सिरहा अगाडी धर्नामा बस्ने स्वास्थ्यकर्मीहरुको कार्यक्रम रहेको छ ।
