The residents of Piple, Bhagwati, Dagnam Begkhola and Chimkhola VDCs in Myagdi padlocked the District Election Office and the District Development Committee on Wednesday, demanding to make Mauwaphant as the administrative centre of the proposed Raghuganga Village Council. The villagers have been angered by the Local Level Restructuring Commission (LLRC) for proposing Pakhapani as the centre of Raghuganga Village Council. Kamal Khatri, one of the protesters, said that the restructuring of the local units should be done to provide facilities to the people. We will not accept the LLRC decision at any cost, he added. (PR)
