Jewellers of Narayangadh halted business for one day on Friday, February 10, as a protest against the administration's incapacity to find the culprit of burglary in a Jewellery shop in the municipality. They also staged a silent rally up to District Administration Office and handed over memorandum to Chief District Officer, Narayan Bhatta. According to the businessmen, gold and silver jewelleries and cash worth 1 billion was robbed a week ago from a sophisticated jewellery shop in Narayangadh. As per the president of Nepal Gold-silver Jewellers Association, Chitwan, the protest was to exert pressure on the administration for prompt action on the case. चोर पक्रन नसकेको भन्दै चितवनका सुनचांदी व्यवसायी आन्दोलित भएका छन् । नारायणगढमा रहेको आधुनिक सुनचांदी पसलबाट करोडौँ रुपैयाँ बराबरका गरगहना तथा नगद चोरी भएको एकहप्ता बितिसक्दा पनि प्रशासनले चोर पक्रन नसकेको व्यवसायीको भनाइ छ। व्यवसायीहरुले विरोधस्वरूप शुक्रबार चितवनका सबै सुनचांदी पसल बन्द गरेका थिए । प्रशासनलाई दवाब दिन एक दिनका लागि सांकेतिक विरोधस्वरूप पसलहरु बन्द गरिएको नेपाल सुनचांदी व्यवसायी संघ चितवनका अध्यक्ष जीवनज्योति शादशंकरले बताए । छिटोभन्दा छिटो चोर पत्ता लगाई चोरी भएका गरगहना तथा नगद फिर्ता दिलाउन प्रशासनलाई ज्ञापनपत्रसमेत बुझाइएको छ । दवाबस्वरूप व्यवसायीहरु आधुनिक सुनचांदी पसलबाट मौन जुलुसका साथ जिल्ला प्रशासन कार्यालय पुगी चितवन प्रमुख जिल्ला अधिकारी नारायण भट्टलाइ ज्ञापनपत्र बुझाएका हुन् ।
