The locals of Bajhang district protested against the corruption in the budget of small-hydroelectricity project, that had been given by Japan International Co-operation Agency (JICA). Locals protested demanding investigation on 8.5 million rupees that had been separated by JICA for 150 kilowatt small-hydroelectricity project . In the protest, local businessmen, students and local residents marched towards the district headquarter with slogans such as “ investigate about the corruption of million rupees budget”, “solve the problems of electricity ”. Locals had also given the memorandum letter to the Chief District Officer Sachindra Khanal, demanding investigation on the corruption. Similarly, a group of local residents had filed a complaint in CIAA. जिल्लाको साना जल-बिद्युत आयोजनाका लागि जापानी सहयोग संस्था ( जाइका ) बाट आएको करोडौं रुपैयाँ अनियमितताको छानबिन माग गर्दै बझांगीहरु आन्दोलित भएका छन् । डेढ सय किलोवाट क्षमताको पावर हाउस निर्माणका लागि जाइकाले ८५ करोड रुपैया खर्च गरेपनि सुधार नआएकाले परियोजनाको रकममा भएको भ्रस्टाचारको छानबिन माग गर्दै स्थानीयले आन्दोलन थालेका छन् । बिरोधका क्रममा ब्यापारी ,स्थानीयबासी,बिद्यार्थी लगायतले सदरमुकाममा प्रदर्शन गर्दै करोडौं खर्च छानबिन गर , बिद्युतको समस्या समाधान गर जस्ता नारा लगाएका थिए । स्थानीयबासीले प्रमुख जिल्ला अधिकारी सचिन्द्र खनाललाई जाइकाले बिद्युत पुर्बाधार मर्मतका लागि छुट्याएको रकममा भएको अनियामितातामथी छानबिनमा माग गर्दै ज्ञापन पत्र बुझाएका छन् । त्यस्तै स्थानीयको एक टोलीले आयोजनामा भएको अनियामितातामथी छानबिनमा माग गर्दै अख्तियारमा समेत उजुरी हालेको छ ।
