locals have staged a protest demonstration in Rajbiraj against the proposed construction of Hulaki highway along the municipality on Tuesday. They said that the construction would cause great loss of property leaving people to homeless. Staging the demonstrators they handed over the memorandum to Prime Minister through CDO and condemned organizing a press meeting. In the memorandum, they suggested for the new survey and look for other suitable alternative saying that the proposed 44 km highway; Bhardaha- Kanchanpur Rajbiraj to Balan if constructed through municipal city would leave hundreds of family homeless and destruct historically significant monuments. हुलाकी सडक नगरपालिका क्षेत्र भित्रबाट लैजादा ठूलो धनजनको क्षति र आफूहरुलाई उठिबास बनाउने भन्दै केही स्थानीयबासीहरु विरोधमा उत्रिएका छन् । मंगलबार राजविराजमा केही स्थानीयले प्रदर्शन गर्दै प्रमुख जिल्ला अधिकारी मार्फत प्रधानमन्त्रीलाई ज्ञापनपत्र बुझाउनका साथै पत्रकार सम्मेलन गरी आपत्ति जनाएका छन् । ज्ञापनपत्रमा प्रस्तावित भारदह– कञ्चनपुर राजविराज र बलानसम्मको ४४ किलोमिटर हुलाकी राजमार्ग नगरक्षेत्रबाट लैजाँदा राजविराज नगर भित्रको सयौँ घर परिवारको उठिबास हुने र सबै ऐतिहासिक संरचनाहरु समेत ध्वस्त हुने उल्लेख गर्दै हुलाकी राजमार्ग निर्माणका लगि नगरको शहरी क्षेत्रको उत्तर वा दक्षिणतर्फ कायम रहेको सडक र नगरहरुमध्येबाट नयाँ ढंगले सर्भे र सम्भाव्यत अध्ययन गर्नुपर्ने माग गरिएको छ ।
