The District Court of Udayapur has ordered to sentence 25 years old Amar Nath Lal Dev of Darbhanga of India, currently living at Chaudandi Municipality-7, for five years on charge of raping a 15 years old girl. The court has also ordered to compensate Rs 20,000 from the accused. A single bench of District Court judge Mahendra Bahadur karki has given a verdict regarding the case on March 23. The victim’s party had lodged a complaint at Area Police Office of Beltar on August 17 against the accused. The accused was remanded in custody since September 9. The victim underwent a health checkup at District Hospital on August 17.
