Police has arrested a teacher for allegedly sexually abusing a girl student in the name of giving her tuition classes at Gaushala Municipality Bazaar in Mahottari district. The suspect has been identified as Ram Dular Sah Sonar, 38, of Gaushala Municipality-3. He is an English subject teacher at the local Shree Janata Secondary School, Inspector Shambhu Pokharel at the Area Police Office, Gaushala, said. A student informed the police on Tuesday after he saw the teacher engaged in illicit act with the 16-year-old girl in his rented room at Gaushala Bazaar. The teacher had allegedly called the girl, who has already appeared in this year's Secondary Education Exam, to his room saying that she needed to be taught extra preparatory classes. A police team deployed from the Area Police Office,Gaushala, reached Sah's room immediately after receiving the information and rescued the girl. The girl has been taken to the District Hospital, Jaleshwor, for medical examination. Locals alleged Sah of sexually abusing the girl in the pretext of giving her tuition classes at various times in the past also. The victim's family members have also registered a complaint against Sah at the Area Police Office, Gaushala today.
