Businessmen in Siraha district headquarter padlocked Siraha municipality and shut down the market citing that the municipality vandalized the huts in front of their shops without prior information. Local businessmen were agitated when the huts were vandalized in the course of weekly cleaning program of Siraha municipality. Claiming the destroying of vegetables of vendor seller, they were agitated with municipality and those involved in cleaning. Locals and businessmen said that they were about to vandalize the huts on their own and had demanded for certain period of time, but was vandalized forcefully. The agitators shut down the market also chanting against municipality. According to Dr Nabin Kumar Yadav, Chairperson, Chandra HSS Management Committee, the municipality vandalized huts forcefully when locals were about to dismantle them. Similarly, Sanjay Mahaseth, FNCCI Siraha Chairperson, when they took the issue to CDO, he threatened to arrest them. Meanwhile, Sri Krishna Shrestha, CDO blamed the rise of agitation due to recklessness of municipality chief. He further added that the vandalism of the huts without prior information by deploying of NA, APF and NP is a mistake. विना सूचना आफूहरुको पसल अगाडीका छाप्रो भत्काएको विरोधमा सिरहा सदरमुकामका व्यापारीहरु सिरहा नगरपालिकामा तालाबन्दी गरी बजार बन्द गरेको छ । सिरहा नगरपालिकाले साप्ताहिक सरसफाई कार्यक्रम अन्र्तगत बुधबार सरसफाईको क्रममा विना सूचना बजार खुला भएको समय छाप्रो भत्काउँदा क्षति भएको भन्दै व्यापारीहरुले विरोध गरेका छन् । तरकारी बेच्नेहरुको तरकारी पनि फालेको भन्दै उनीहरुपनि नगरपालिका र सरसफाईमा संलग्न भएकाप्रति आक्रोशित भएका थिए । हामी आफैं हटाउँने र केही समय दिनुपर्ने भन्दा पनि सिरहा नगरपालिकाले जेसिबि लगाएर भत्काउन थालेपछि व्यवसायी र स्थानीय आक्रोशित भएका छन् । उनीहरुले नगरपालिका कार्यकारी विरुद्ध चर्को नाराबाजी सहित बजार बन्द गरी प्रर्दशन समेत गरेका छन् । छाप्रो खोलिरहँदा समेत जेसिबि लगाएर भत्काउन खोजेको भन्दै भीड झन आक्रोशित भएको चन्द्र मा.वि. सिरहाका व्यवस्थापन समिति अध्यक्ष डा. नविन कुमार यादवले बताए । त्यस्तै उधोग वाणिज्य संघ सिरहाका अध्यक्ष संजय महासेठका अनुसार आफूहरुले प्रजिअलाई समस्या राख्दा प्रजिअले धम्की सहित थुन्ने चेतावनी दिएको आरोप लगाएका छन् । यस सम्बन्धमा प्रमुख जिल्ला अधिकारी श्रीकृष्ण श्रेष्ठले नगरपालिकाका प्रमुखले गरेको लापरबाहीको कारण अवस्था तनावपूर्ण भएको बताएका छन् । सरसफाईको नाउँमा र निर्वाचनको मुखमा यसरी भत्काउने कार्य गर्नु नहुने बताए । सेना, सशस्त्र र नेपाल प्रहरीलाई सरसफाईको नाउमा सहभागी गराई विना सूचना भत्काउनु गलत भएको प्रजिअ श्रेष्ठको भनाई छ ।
