A 19-year-old women apparently committed suicide by burning herself inside her bedroom and in course burnt down four houses at Jhagarupuruwa in Gulariya-10, Bardiya, on Thursday. Police identified the woman as Punam Mallaha. Her husband, Biharilal, told police that his wife had locked herself in the bedroom after an argument three days ago. She had reportedly refused to come out of the bedroom and had not eaten anything. The couple had married just 10 months ago. Police Inspector Him Shahi said they were treating the case as a suicide investigation. Police have taken statements from Punam’s husband, his family members and neighbours after the incident. बर्दियाको सदरमुकाम गुलरीयामा बिहीबार दिउँसो आगलागीमा परेर एक महिलाको ज्यान गएको छ । आगोबाट तीनवटा घर र एउटा गोठ जलेको छ । घरयासी विवादका कारण गुलरीया नगरपालिका–१० रत्नापुरकी २२ वर्षका पुनम मल्लाहले घरमा आगो लगाउँदा मल्लाहको ज्यान गएको जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय बर्दियाले जनाएको छ । घरायसी झगडाका कारण पुनम मल्लाहले आफैंले घरमा आगो लगाउँदा जलेर ज्यान गएको बर्दियाका प्रहरी उपरीक्षक भरत बहादुर बोहोराले बताउनुभयो । घरभित्र चार लिटर मट्टीतेलको जर्किन समेत फेला परेकाले आत्महत्या गर्न आफ्नै शरीरमा आगो लगाएको हो अथवा घरमा आगो लगाएको भन्ने विषयमा थप अनुसन्धान भइरहेको उहाँले बताउनुभयो । आगलागीबाट गहुँ, तोरी लगायतका खाद्यान्न जलेर नष्ट भएको छ । आगलागीबाट तीनवटा घर, एक गोठ र नगद एक लाख रुपैयाँसहित झण्डै ६ लाख मूल्य बराबरको धनमाल जलेर नष्ट भएको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ । आगो दुई घन्टापछि नियन्त्रणमा आएको थियो ।
